Come to the Doctor (James 4:1-10)

Key Idea: When we are sick with sin, we must humble ourselves before God by hearing his diagnosis, heeding his call to repentance, and obeying his treatment plan.

1. Hear his diagnosis (vv.1-3)

1. conflict in your life is the product of your own evil desires
2. your evil desires are indicative of your worldliness

2. Heed His call to repentance (vv. 4-6)

3. Obey His treatment plan (vv.7-10)

1. Submit yourselves to God (7a)
   1. Resist the Devil, Draw near to God (7b-8a)
   2. Cleanse & Purify (8b)
   3. be wretched and mourn and weep (v.9)
2. Humble yourself before God. (v.10)
