I. Know your greater purpose in this world: To honor Christ

• The picture of honoring Christ
  • To live for Christ
  • To treasure Christ
• The promise of honoring Christ – Joy

If honoring Christ is our greatest purpose and hope in life, then we can always be joyful because we can always honor Christ (no matter the circumstances).

II. Know the greater promise of the next: To be with Christ

• Two reasons that “to die is gain”:
  • We will be apart from sin
  • We will be with our Savior
