Hi Lighthouse!
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Allie Silva. I’m 15 years old and I’ve been coming to Lighthouse for my entire life. I have been so blessed to participate in this past summer’s Youth Bible Camp. It was honestly such a blessing to be able to fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ, especially in a season such as this. I had some amazing conversations with people I normally wouldn’t talk to. I think that was really the beauty of youth Bible Camp. There were middle schoolers talking to high schoolers, boys talking to girls. It just felt so less clique-ish and so welcoming. If I didn’t have this Bible camp, then I don’t think that I would have some of the realizations that I had, or I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to get closer with some of the people that I did through Bible camp. Not only was Bible camp such a blessing, but I really appreciated the youth leaders that took time out of their day to prepare messages to read and really help us in our walk with God. I found myself really looking forward to Youth Bible Camp. I’m so blessed to have a church that puts so much effort in the lives of the youth. Youth Bible Camp has also really helped me with my Walk with Christ. I got to have some really deep, eye opening conversations. All in all, as sad as I am we can’t meet in person, youth bible camp was such a unique opportunity that I probably wouldn’t have been able to experience if it weren’t for COVID-19. God really works in so many ways.
