O Come All You Unfaithful: Everlasting Father (Isaiah 9:6, Luke 15:11-32)

Everlasting Father” – He offers love and belonging in a world of rejection

1. The Younger Son

  • In our sin, we want the gifts more than the Giver
  • In our sin, we distrust and reject God’s fatherly rule
  • But we can come to him because he forgives our sin

2. The Older Son

  • We reject God’s fatherly care when we try to earn rather than receive his love
  • But we can come to him because he graciously invites us into relationship

3. Christ the Son
