Discussion Questions

1. What’s one thing you remember from the sermon and why (verse, story, application, etc.)?

2. Why did Jesus have to die on the cross for us to be forgiven of our sins? (Hint: explain the Great Exchange.)

3. Do you consider yourself cool or uncool in the eyes of the world? Why does it not matter at all? 

4. How does the cross show that Christ came for the weak, foolish, the lame, the uncool? Why is it good that God loves these and not the strong of the world? 

5. What do you (wrongly) boast in? What do you find your value in? (Examples: grades, sports, popularity, etc.) Whatever that it is, how does it compare to the cross? 

6. Pray for one another, that God would help you cherish the cross above all else.
