Four steps to true unity in the Church:

  1. Heed your Worthy Call (v.1)
  2. Put on Worthy Character (v.2a)
  3. Practice Worthy Conduct (vv.2b-3)
  4. Live out Worthy Convictions (vv.4-6)

 

Small Group Questions

  1. How would you summarize this sermon in your own words?
  2. Who are the people who you feel united with? When you feel “unity” with someone, what is usually the basis of that unity? How is that unity similar or different to the unity that Paul is talking about in the church?
  3. Share about a time when you saw someone else display “Worthy Character and Worthy Conduct” see point 2 and 3
  4. Spend time asking each other good questions. You can use the following or come up with your own. You can share all together in your sg, or you can break up into pairs and ask each other one question, then shuffle pairs.
    1. What is your story? 
      1. Are you a Christian? If no or you’re not sure, why do you say that? If yes, when and how did you get saved?
      2. What sins or circumstances did God use to show you your need for a savior?
    2. What is something that you love about God?
    3. What are you learning about God in his word right now?
    4. What’s a truth about God that gives you hope?
    5. What is one lesson God taught you in the past year?
    6. What is one struggle you’re facing today and how can I come alongside you as your brother/sister in Christ?
