Prayer characterizes a true child of God, so this Sunday Fuel, we will pray! We will review the prayer points Pastor Rich mentioned at the end of the sermon as reflection points. 

1. What we believe about our Heavenly Father will shape our prayer lives. Be honest: if you were to evaluate your prayer life, what might you conclude about how you see God?

Pastor Rich reminds us our Heavenly Father is perfect in power and perfect in love. He is hallowed, like no other. Take time to thank Him for your relationship with Him made possible through Christ and praise Him for who He is. 

2. Where might you be exalting yourself and your name? Name that and confess it before the Father. What would it look like to turn from that? Ask God to empower you to exalt Him in your life. 

3. October is Outreach Month, with the theme “This is My Father’s World.” Pray that God’s name would be exalted in this world, starting with our families, neighborhoods, schools, jobs, friends. Take time to pray for our church’s witness, that the newly created gospel webpage would be a resource that effectively communicates the good news of Jesus through its message and testimonies. Pray that God would enlarge your heart for our brothers and sisters around the world. 

4. Think of someone you have been hesitant to pray for or someone you’ve been praying for a long time but are growing weary in prayer. 

5. What is your next step?

• Consider one of the outreach ministries being offered as a means to deepen your relationship with God, grow your faith, and grow in your witness for Christ. 

• What is an area of normal daily life that provides you an opportunity to deepen your relationship with God your Father through prayer? Consider your waking activities, driving, cooking, cleaning, school work, job, or the area you’re most avoiding. Pray that He may be exalted in every area and activity of your life as you submit to his authority.
