Sunday Fuel: Oct. 26, 2025

Welcome to Sunday Fuel! This series of questions is designed to assist your personal reflection and fellowship with others about the sermon from this past Sunday.

Go to This Sunday’s Sermon (start at 2:25)

    1. Imitate the faithful: We are both imitators and imitated.

    • Who is someone that reflects Christ to you? What do you learn from their example?
    • In what ways can you reflect Christ to others? How might you live your life as an example of Him to others?

    2. Be wary of foes: We need to be careful of who we are not to imitate—those who tempt us to believe Christ is not enough.

    a. Do a mental inventory of the other “messages” you listen to during the week via podcasts, books, YouTube, social media, popular influencers, etc. Evaluate each of them with these questions:

    • What is their fate?
    • What is their faith?
    • Do they have flipped priorities?
    • What is their focus?

    b. Instead of being swayed, are there “enemies” (3:18-19) among your circles that the Lord may want you to win over for Him?

    3. Know your true citizenship: This world is not our true home.

    • Take time to meditate on Phil. 3:20-21. What does it mean to be a citizen of a country, specifically a citizen of heaven?
    • How does this truth impact how you live today? Where do you need to adjust or change so that it more accurately reflects this reality?

    4. Stand firm in the Lord: God’s call to resilience and faithfulness,

Part of the Christian life is simply being faithful—believing God’s truth, keeping on with the ordinary and mundane, praying behind the scenes.

    • In what areas can you stand firm in the Lord’s call in your life—at home, work, neighborhood, school, etc.?
    • What would this look like for you?
