Sunday Fuel: May 11, 2025

Welcome to Sunday Fuel! This series of questions is designed to assist your personal reflection and fellowship with others about the sermon from this past Sunday.

Go to This Sunday’s Sermon start at 21:52

1. What troubles, including sins, are you going through today that feel all the more weighty because you bear them alone?

2. Read Psalm 116. Note the personal pronouns used (I, me, my) and what you learn about God and the relationship He shares with the psalmist.

3. As you reflect on the following questions, consider your particular experience with Him, not just in generalities:

  • What is one way God has been gracious, righteous or merciful toward you, as described in the sermon?
  • What benefits have you enjoyed as His child? Start with your salvation, but also include the small and particular ways He has shown His care for you.
  • What is one particular Scripture that you can hold on to in your time of difficulty, to remind you of his help, comfort, guidance, hope, etc.?
  • If God cannot sin by lying, how might this truth help you to trust Him in your hardship today? How might remembering His bountiful care for you help you to rest in HIs care for you in this season of hardship?

4. Take time to pray and express your love and gratitude to God, even when it feels hard to do so. In the places you struggle, cry out to Him for help and faith to believe. Thank Him for the many ways He has shown His grace and mercy to you, His many benefits and bountiful care towards you.

5. How might your own reflections help you testify of His goodness and point others to Him in their distress?
