Sunday Fuel: March 22, 2026

Welcome to Sunday Fuel! This series of questions is designed to assist your personal reflection and fellowship with others about the sermon from this past Sunday.

Go to This Sunday’s Sermon (start at 21:04)

1. Take some time to look outside during a walk or break from work. What is something beautiful in God’s creation (like a sunrise) that makes you stop to marvel at your creator?

Take time to pause and ponder: What is something beautiful about the Gospel and our salvation that encourages you to marvel at your Savior? What is special and uniquely beautiful about Him? Thank God for His grace that chose you to be His own.

2. If you were to explain what it means to be a disciple of Christ, what would you say? Would your focus be on a philosophy or system of rules or on a person? How does remembering that discipleship is first and foremost a relationship change how you understand God’s calling and commands to us?

3. Evaluate your level of commitment to Christ. Consider how you spend your time or money or what commands your interest and focus. If Christ were to call you to leave and follow Him, how willing would you be to do so? What would hold you back? Confess this honestly to Him. Ask Him to increase your desire to be willing to follow Him.

4. Consider how you might express your commitment to Him. What are some small choices you can make each day, such as reserving time for Him each day, seeking to know more of who He is—not just as knowledge but in relationship, doing the work He has given you (even if it is mundane) for His glory, obeying Him in an area that is costly, investing in the relationships around you that they might know Him better, etc.? Be as specific as possible. Share this with a friend for support, prayer, and accountability.

5. Who is someone in your life now that you might invest in and point to Christ? Start with those in your current circle: co-workers, children, classmates, neighbors.  Begin by praying for them, asking the Lord for opportunities, starting with your everyday connections.
