Sunday Fuel: June, 2026

Welcome to Sunday Fuel! This series of questions is designed to assist your personal reflection and fellowship with others about the sermon from this past Sunday.

Go to This Sunday’s Sermon (start at 16:34)

Last week, we talked about using our influence to make the world a better place and to slow down the worldly culture. This week, we consider how we can actively do this by being gospel witnesses to point others to Christ.

Choose the questions that are most pertinent for you:

1. Which of the four ways mentioned in the sermon—concealing, compromising, conforming or congregating (with other Christians only)—do you tend to resort to? Take time to confess to the Lord how you have chosen to hide your light.

2. Pastor Kim pointed out that we will not be able to overcome our aversion to evangelism as long as our own happiness is our greatest motivation. How has this been true for you? Will you repent, entrust your fears and worries to Him, then pray in faith for help to take the next small step?

3 Consider what a great salvation you have been given in Christ and write out truths to remind you of the gospel as well as God’s love and care for you. Have these ready when you feel fear or worry when opportunities to share your faith arise.

4. Take time to think about the fact that we are already lights for Christ, called to be ambassadors and representatives that point to Him. How does that help you reframe your relationships with unbelievers around you?

5. What are some everyday situations that can become opportunities for you to worship the Lord and bring Him glory? Walk through your day/week or consider what common struggles or topics of conversations you have with your fellow students, coworkers, neighbors, etc. How can these opportunities allow you to speak of Christ and glorify Him?
