The past two days, the team has been preparing for VBS, getting supplies, team bonding, and spending time with the families at Logos Community Church. We attended their Sunday service on 7/20, where Toshi gave a sermon on Genesis 17:1-27. Toshi concluded saying that Jesus became the atonement for our sins and is the only way to enter heaven. This sermon was timely as we consider sharing the Gospel to those attending the VBS this coming week. The preciousness of knowing Christ and the unity we have because of him, allows us to partake in such sweet fellowship.

We’ve been encouraged by the testimonies of Logos families, as they shared how they came to accept Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. The Sunday worship service was a foretaste of Heaven, as we worshipped God together in “one voice”. The Apostle Paul writes in Romans 15:5-7,
5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
Our time in Nagoya has deepened our excitement and longing for Christ’s return, where one day, we will worship God for all eternity.
