Hi, I am Tyler Osako. I am ten years old and in fourth grade. My brother Mason and I participated in The Attributes of God for Kids book study with other Lighthouse kids. We met for four meetings over Zoom every other week. We started each meeting playing a game or had an icebreaker, such as 20 Questions and Zoomed In. After that, we would have the lesson about the book. The four people who taught the lessons were Uncle Christian Hedland, Auntie Helen Ying, Uncle Mark Choi, and Auntie Jehna Chiang.
I like this book a lot. I like it because it tells me who God is and what He is like. I learned that there are so many attributes that God has. The attribute that meant most to me is that God is Infinite. He is limited by nothing and can do anything. I also like this book because it tells me how I am compared to God. For example, when God is Good, I am not good enough to be with God, but Jesus died so that we could be with God. Because God is Infinite, I am loved by God without limits.
I like how this book used picture symbols and memory verses to help me remember these attributes of God. Also, my dad made my brother and me a fun matching game with cards showing God’s attributes and the matching ways God made us to be.
I would recommend this book to kids. I would recommend this book because it is a good way to learn about God and to reflect on who we are. This book is a great way to bring us closer to God. Thank you to all the Aunties and Uncles who helped with this Lighthouse Kids study!
