Day three’s truth was God loves me and the kids learned about the woman at the well in John 4. Jesus is the living water, and He alone can satisfy us forever. Every station went well, and praise God for another great day!

In the older kids’ class, some of them were amazed to learn that Jesus died for them, there were audible gasps when they got to that part! Yoko, a Logos member who helped lead the older kids’ small groups, shared that the kids were sharing a lot more than last year. Praise God for hearts that are open and growing to learn more about Jesus!

Seichi, Hide, & Rich were also able to announce the 2027 homestay and 6 week Introduction to Christianity class for the first time today. Please pray that many would be interested and that God would use both opportunities to open doors for people to accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.

One of the unique things about KSE is that we have so much time afterwards to hang out and talk with the families. KSE is 9:30am-12:30pm and we stay until 4:30-5pm. Everyone is so willing to stay and many of our team members and Logos members have had so many meaningful conversations about Christ. 

That evening, we went to LaLaport for dinner and then to VS Park, an interactive game place where you can compete against each other in all kinds of fun games. We went with the youth ministry from ANF, another church in Nagoya, and got to spend time with the 4 youth kids (Including one we brought from KSE with us). It was a fun night of silly competition and one of the girls is interested in going to Logos/the American Party on Sunday and the homestay. 

The next day, we started our day with a short little FaceTime call with the Lighthouse ACR check-in team before heading off to KSE for day four. Day four’s truth was God forgives me and they learned about Jesus and Nicodemus. Toshi taught the lesson and it was such a wonderful opportunity to clearly share the gospel. Each station also had opportunities to point the kids toward the good news of Jesus.

After, we had lunch again all together again. We’ve been thankful for the many people that have been open to sharing their own stories and listening to our testimonies of God’s work in our lives.

After KSE, we took the train into downtown Nagoya for some shopping and dinner. Since we’ve mostly been in the suburbs, it was eye-opening to see a different side of Japan. There were many people filling the streets, businessmen rushing around, and nightlife that was popping. Seeing all of this made me think about how much Japan needs Jesus. In the middle of such a busy and worldly city, there are so many people who need to know the hope, forgiveness, and new life that can only be found in Christ.

I can’t believe KSE is more than half way over, but we’re so thankful for all that God is doing through this week and for the relationships He continues to develop.

Prayer Requests:

• For the homestay and Introduction to Christianity class opportunities, that many would be interested and that God would use these opportunities to reveal Himself
• That God would raise up more churches & missionaries in Japan 
• For the people of Japan, to soften their hearts and to let the light of Jesus Christ shine across the nation
