Key Idea: Excelling Still More Involves a Life of Ministry
A true life of ministry is:
- Accountable Before God (v1-5)
- Sacrificial To Others (v6-9)
- Encouraging Toward Christlikeness (v10-12)
Discussion Questions:
- What does it mean to be a “steward”? In what ways does your life need to change knowing that everything you have has been “entrusted” to you?
- Read John 15:13. In what ways is it easy for us to sacrificially love others? In what ways is it difficult? Why? Be specific.
- How would others describe our character (both in the church and outside)? In what ways does our behavior move other believers toward Christlikeness? What areas of our lives do we need to work on in terms of holiness and obedience?
- How would you describe your intake of God’s Word (outside of Friday nights and Sunday mornings)? Why is it important in your own personal spiritual growth? Why is it important in your relationship with others?
- How can you serve others more in the various areas of your life (family, friends, school, sports, church, etc)?
