Key Idea: We must live within the reality of the truth of Christ
1. Importance of truth
Jesus came as truth, to give truth.
2. Focus of truth
John 1:1 — 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:9 — 9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
John 1:14 — 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

3. Response to the truth
John 17:8 — 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have RECEIVED them and have come to KNOW in truth that I came from you; and they have BELIEVED that you sent me.

B. Meditate on the Word to fuel your faith
To meditate on God’s Word means thinking deeply and often about a truth of Scripture so that it takes root in your heart, instructs your life, broadens in its application, helps you trust God more, moves you to worship, and becomes a lens through which you see your world.
