Looking Up to Look Out (Matthew 5:14-16)

Key Idea: Looking out (evangelism) is rooted in whether we are looking in or looking up.

I. Hiding our faith is rooted in looking in (wrong worries and fears)

Four ways we hide our light when we look in:
A. We conceal
B. We compromise
C. We conform
D. We congretate

II. Sharing our faith is rooted in looking up (right worship and faith)

“Missions is not the ultimate goal of the church. Worship is. Missions exists because worship doesn’t. Worship is ultimate, not missions, because God is ultimate, not man. Missions begins and ends in worship.” -John Piper

    Application:
    A. Stop looking in
    B. Start looking up
