Welcome to Sunday Fuel! This series of questions is designed to assist your personal reflection and fellowship with others about the sermon from this past Sunday.
Go to This Sunday’s Sermon Select the questions that most pertain to where you’re at today.
1. Your View of Care in the Church
- Do you see care as primarily the job of pastors and counselors, or a shared responsibility for the whole church?
- How open are you to participating in the care of others?
- Ask the Lord to open your eyes today to someone you can walk with.
2. Obstacles to Caring
- What holds you back from caring for others—lack of time, confidence, past hurts, fear of doing it wrong?
- Are you willing to ask God for help to grow in time, courage, or skill to care more faithfully?
3. Receiving and Providing Care in Community
a. Receiving Care
- Who knows the real you—your needs, struggles, and temptations?
- Are you willing to take the risk of letting others in, even if it means being vulnerable?
- Where are you:
- Idle or unruly (resisting correction)?
- Fainthearted (discouraged, weary, or emotionally overwhelmed)?
- Weak (in need of tangible help)?
- What kind of care or support would be meaningful to you in this season?
b. Providing Care
- This week, who can you move toward in love? Who is God placing in your path to know, love, and serve?
Ask:- Where are they weary or struggling with sin or suffering?
- What are their tangible needs or burdens?
- How might you encourage them with Christ’s hope?
- Can you lovingly speak truth, offer help, or simply listen and pray?
- Do you reflect the patient care of Christ in your relationships?
4. Stepping Into Small Group Ministry
If you’re in a season to serve, will you prayerfully consider helping in small group ministry as a faithful steward of the care you’ve received?
