Childcare/Children’s program?
A children’s program will be offered for all ages (0 months – graduating 5th graders) and will allow parents to check in their children before each teaching session. The children 3 y/o – 5th will have scheduled teaching and worship time, crafts, snacks and games/recreational activities. This program is often the most memorable highlight for the children attending the retreat! Please check the children’s ministry tab for more information.
Will there be a separate youth program?
This year, we won’t be having a separate youth program. Instead, the youth students will get to join the rest of the church in the main sessions! We’ll have youth-specific small groups for youth students up to the graduated seniors.
I have physical limitations that require housing accommodations and/or prevent me from participating in certain activities. What should I do?
We would love for you to be involved in every part of retreat and would like to hear how we can make accommodations for you. In your registration, please indicate your specific needs and we’ll reach out to you for clarification if necessary.
Can we attend retreat part time?
We would love for everyone to be with us for the whole length of the weekend. We understand that some of you have unique circumstances, so if there is a need to come late or leave early, please let us know in your registration. Please note that we cannot provide discounts for part time attendance.
Can I choose my roommates?
Yes! Please indicate specific names in your registration. If you’d like to request specific roommates (either individuals or families), we suggest that you talk amongst your friends and confirm with each other your housing type and preferences. Please note that we will try our best to match groups, but we cannot guarantee that your requests will be fulfilled. Families will be assumed to be living together, unless otherwise requested.
What kind of free time activities will there be?
While our free time activities have not been determined yet, we’ll be sure to have a variety of activities available to a range of interests!
I forgot to sign up! Can I register late?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate late registrations. Final names and numbers will be sent to Forest Home upon the close of registration.
What if I’m on the wait list?
Due to the high demand of retreat, anyone who has signed up for retreat after May 18 will have to be on the wait list. We will notify you by June 16 if you make it off the wait list. Please note, if you are accepted off the wait list, you will most likely be sharing a room with another family. Only standard housing will be available for people accepted from the wait list.
We are excited and thankful to have you and your family join us for this retreat! We hope that your child will learn more about what it means to follow Jesus during the retreat. Our prayer is that this enables the opportunity for you to worship God without distraction and for your child to learn about God and what it means to trust in Him.
Care for children ages 0 months to 5th grade will be offered during the morning and evening sessions of the retreat. The children 3 y/o – 5th will have scheduled teaching and worship time, crafts, snacks and games/recreational activities. The children’s program will have its own teacher and curriculum for the weekend. Teachers and caregivers will allow check-in of children 10 minutes prior to each session.
Sample Schedule:
Sunday Morning – PreK/K
8:20 Check-in & Free Play
8:45 Worship & Song Practice
9:05 Teaching
9:20 Craft

Please allow for enough time to check in your children as the nursery (0-35 months) will be in one building (Chipmunk Corner) and preschool through 5th grade will be in a different location (Blinko Hall).
FYI:
Children may be having water play. Please have your child(ren) dressed in swim wear underneath and bring a towel and change of clothes. If you do not want your child(ren) to participate in the water play activities, please let the caregivers know.
Waiver Form:
Please complete and sign the electronic medical release consent form (one per child). This is very important (it informs us of existing medical conditions, allergies, etc) so please fill it out promptly.
We are so grateful for all of our helpers from other churches that will minister to our children. Please take a moment to thank them for their service! Our retreat would not be the same without them! We will be taking a love-offering for the volunteers during Saturday evening’s worship if you would like to contribute.
Looking forward to seeing God work this weekend in growing you and your family into deeper devotion to Him and into deeper community with one another. We thank you in advance for your cooperation! May your family have a blessed weekend!
