Church family,
LA County has recently announced that, starting Sunday, June 18, masks will be required in all public indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status. After much discussion, the elders have decided that we will abide by these new orders, so starting this Sunday, we will require masks for any indoor church activity. Though we believe we are relatively safe in the South Bay, the requirement does not hinder us in our worship, and so we will abide by their requirement.
We will still have snacks after services, but we are asking that if you are not actively eating or drinking that you wear a mask. We will also have additional seating in our Fellowship Hall and outdoors on the Playground.
Through all of this, we are incredibly thankful that we are able to meet indoors and are not required to social distance. We can still be together, sing together, worship together, fellowship together, and do everything that the Lord requires of us. We trust in God’s timing and purposes for us in this moment.
Thanks for your understanding and patience. This has been a difficult season for all of us, but it has been made easier for us as elders by your humility and love for one another.

Hello, church family!
As our county and state prepare to more fully reopen on June 15, we wanted to share more details about Lighthouse’s next phases of regathering for in-person ministries.
Starting Sunday, June 20,
- All of our services will be held indoors in the sanctuary, with additional seating in our Fellowship Hall and in our outdoor tent.
- Social distancing will not be required
- Masks will not be required
- No pre-registration
- No check-in
- Our online livestream will continue for those who are unable to attend due to health concerns
For Children’s Ministries, pre-registration will still be required for the time-being to best manage our classroom limits. Masks and 3 foot safe distancing will be required for all volunteers and children. Outside of the Children’s Ministries classrooms, we are asking that parents exercise discernment and wisdom for their own families.
Fellowship Groups will be able to meet indoors with the same guidelines after June 20. Please contact your Fellowship Group leadership for more information.
The CDC, state, and local health departments have issued guidelines for those who are immunocompromised, show COVID symptoms, are not fully vaccinated from COVID, have had close COVID exposure, or have travelled outside of the state. If you fall in these categories, we are asking that you use your best judgment, be wise, be thoughtful, and be loving in deciding if and how you come to service that week.
We also understand that each of us is coming from unique and varied situations and circumstances, so it is important that we be loving and gracious in how we consider one another during this next phase of ministry. We may make different choices in how and when we choose to regather, but we should rejoice that we are regathering at all! Let 1 Corinthians 13 be the banner that flies over our church, especially in these coming months: “Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
We praise God for his goodness to us, and we look forward to the ways he will continue to provide for us so that we can make Gospel-centered disciples who exalt and proclaim Christ.
