“We want to especially focus our attention on the most pivotal event in history: The death and resurrection of Jesus. Galatians 4:4 refers to that period as “the fullness of time.” 1 Peter 1 tells us that this was the event in which OT prophets “searched and inquired carefully” for and in “which angels long to look.” As a church then, our hope is to prepare your hearts to especially reflect on and meditate on the death and resurrection of our Savior by whom we have salvation.
So everyday throughout this week, we’ll be releasing short devotionals as we walk through the final week of Jesus together. And today’s devotional will be an introduction of sorts as we prepare to “focus our minds on, and seek to intensify our affections for, the most important and timeless realities.”
Today we come to Palm Sunday: The day where we mark the entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem for the last week of His life.”
