Helpful Resources for Past Sunday
Brothers and Sisters, I hope you are well. I wanted follow up with a few of resources I mentioned on Sunday that I hope will be helpful.
First, I mentioned that if Mother’s Day isn’t an easy day (singleness; infertility; loss; difficult relationships; etc.), then here is a sermon I hope is helpful. It is about seeing suffering through the filter of God’s love. I pray that it would be a grace to you.
Second I mentioned some more resources on the issue of slavery in the Bible. Again I am hoping these will be a grace to you (some I have read, others I have watch or read in part but they come from trusted resources).
Parts 1, 2, and 3 of Paul Copan’s discussion:
Kim is the primary teaching elder at Lighthouse. He loves being part of a church family that is committed to loving God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength. Kim is driven by a deep desire to encourage people to worship the true, Triune God of Scripture rather than the idols of the world. This, he believes, is made possible by the transformative power of the Gospel, the Good News that offers not only entrance into heaven but offers powerful and practical hope for change in everyday life. Beyond ministry, Kim loves to spend time with his wife Jen and their four children, Caleb, Josiah, Karissa, and Carson. His other interests include the Lakers, the Dodgers, grilling, red meat, snowboarding, and playing sports.
