Thailand and Myanmar Missions (Day 4)

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Hi Everyone,

Today we completed our longest day of counselor training, almost seven hours of teaching. Tomorrow morning we have one more session and then we begin our long journey home.

Thank you for remembering us in your prayers. We praise God that through your prayers he enabled us to train these brothers and witness their joyful perseverance in ministry here in Myanmar.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”9164″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Part of the training today focused on counseling depression and many of the pastors shared their stories of suffering with us. Most of the pastors here have to raise financial support and work a second job because their village churches are unable to pay them a salary. Additionally, several of the pastors face persecution as they faithfully share the gospel in a predominantly Buddhist culture. Yet despite their suffering, they remain full of hope and continually seek to encourage us during our time with them.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”9163″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Lastly, we also distributed 50 copies of the book “side by side” to the pastors and ministry leaders along with 50 copies of the small group material we used at Lighthouse last year. They asked us to pass along their thankfulness to Lighthouse for the gift.

Thank you for sending us and supporting us while we’ve been here. See you on Sunday!

In Christ,

Tim and Mat[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
