What Is Christianity?
The heart of Christianity is the Gospel, which is the “good news” of salvation revealed in the Bible. The Gospel is the most important truth you will ever know.

God is the loving ruler of the world. He made the world, and He made us rulers of the world under Him.
But that’s not the way it is now. |
|
We all reject God as our ruler, trying to live life our own way without him. This is the essence of sin. But in our rejection of God, we fail to rule ourselves, society, or the world.
But what will God do about this rebellion? |

God will not let us rebel forever. God’s punishment for rebellion is death and judgment. God’s justice sounds hard, but it doesn’t have to end there. |
|
Because of His love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world. Jesus always lived under God’s rule. Yet by dying in our place, He took our punishment and brought forgiveness. Incredibly, the good news continues! |

God raised Jesus to life again as the ruler of the world. Jesus has conquered death, gives new life, and will return to judge. That leaves us with a choice that we all must face. |
|
There are two ways to live: We can continue to live our way by rejecting God and trying to rule our own lives. The result will be condemnation from God, death, and judgment. Or we can live God’s new way. We can stop our sinful rebellion, trust in Jesus’ death and resurrection, and submit to Him as ruler. The result will be forgiveness from God and the promise of eternal life.
