Lighthouse’s youth ministry exists to mature the youth to be lifelong disciples of Jesus and to equip them for a life of obedience and worship to Him in fulfillment of Lighthouse’s overall mission to make gospel-centered disciples who exalt and proclaim Christ.
Maturation (Colossians 1:28)
The surpassing goal in all of the apostle Paul’s ministry was to proclaim the glories and the excellencies of Christ, so that he may present everyone mature in Christ. Similarly, it is the goal of Lighthouse’s youth ministry to present those that come through our youth ministry mature in Christ to the best of our giftings and stewardship from God.
Equipping (Ephesians 4:12-14)
In Ephesians 4:12-14, the apostle Paul writes that Jesus, the Lord of the Church local and universal, gave the church pastors and teachers for the purpose of equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. Thus, it is the task of the church’s leadership to equip the saints for the kind work that God will entrust to his saints, whether formal or informal.
Friday Night Youth Group
Our weekly Youth Group meetings are held on Friday nights at 7:30 PM at Lighthouse Community Church. Youth Group ends around 10 PM. A normal youth group consists of icebreaker games, musical worship, expository preaching, small groups, and snacks. Special events are held about once a month.
Sunday School for both junior high and high school are held every Sunday morning from 11 AM to 12 PM. The location may vary from week to week (usually in the Conference Room or in the Children’s Ministry wing). Please note – Sunday School is only for youth who have already attended first service; it is a supplement (and not a substitution)!
Rooted is our junior high ministry. As the Junior High group, Rooted seeks to instruct the youth with foundational and fundamental truths that are necessary to live a life that is pleasing, faithful, and fruitful to God.
For any questions regarding Rooted, please contact Justin Lee.
Kairos is our high school ministry. Kairos is a Greek word that means, “a time of unique opportunity.” We believe that our high schoolers truly live in a unique season of life, where they can leverage their role as followers of Jesus in seeking the renewal and welfare of their respective campuses and cities.
For any questions regarding Kairos, please contact Pastor Eric Cai.
