Poverty Encounter: Children and Youth Tour

Please join us on August 20th as we will be visiting Poverty Encounter, a ministry of Children’s Hunger Fund in Sylmar, CA. This experience is a multi-sensory, interactive environment where guests are able to journey into the lives of children living in poverty around the globe. Not only are participants able to explore the worlds of those in great need, but they will be equipped to respond biblically and offer help and hope to those who are suffering.

The tour that we reserved is the Youth Tour, which is recommended for those in 1st grade to 8th grade, but if you have kids who are a bit younger or older, they are still welcome to join. Friends and family are all welcome to come! The program will include a 60 minute tour followed by a 30 minute service activity, where guests will be able to pack food for families in need. Please dress comfortably!

Our reservation is from 10AM-11:30AM, Tuesday August 20th. We will meet at the site (13931 Balboa Blvd Sylmar, CA 91342). Tickets are $7 per person (free for kids 5 and under). Note: Please allow for at least 90 minutes of driving if you’re coming from the South Bay area.
